Why would I use Trade Traders Australia to find a Tradesperson?
Answer:
The most important reason for using us to find your Tradespeople, is that the Tradespeople that we refer to you have been rated by their past work for Consumers that used our service. This means the Tradespeople we refer you to have been recommended by their previous Customers within the Trade Traders Australia service.
Question:
How much does it cost to get quotes?
Answer:
Nothing. This is a free service, although we do ask you to give the Tradesperson a reference on completion of the job.

How long does it take to get quotes?
Answer:
Generally, you can expect a quote to be provided within a day or two. This can depend on how much information you provide when you submit the job, and also when you are available to speak to the Tradesperson about the job.

How do I find out how many quotes I will get?
Answer:
We normally provide three quotes per job, however, there may be times when the Consumer may not want that many, or if the job is urgent, can't wait for that many. There may also be times when, for specialist reasons, we may not be able to source your particular Tradesperson type.

What do I need to do to get quotes?
Answer:
Go to the Submit a Job page. Fill in the online form and then press the submit button. You will get a notification page that will let you know we have your job and we will confirm the details with you shortly. Alternatively, you can contact us on (02) 9818 2816 and we will take your contact and job details, and then organise your quotes for you.

Do I need to register?
Answer:
There is no need to register with us to request quotes. Just follow the previous question's answer to submit your job.

What information about the job do I need to give you?
Answer:
Take some time to make a list of what you need. Think of this as if the Tradesperson was on the phone with you. What questions might the Tradesperson ask. What kind of Tradesperson? What work you want done? When you need the work completed? Any measurements you have? Colours? Styles? Practical functions? The Tradespeople will be in contact with you prior to giving you a quote, and they will ask you more questions.

How much information do you give me about the Tradespeople you send to do the quotes?
Answer:
We will contact you prior to sending the Tradespeople to you, to give you their contact and reference/ratings details. We include the name and contact details, level of experience, and of course, the rating they hold within our records. If you wish, you can ask more questions, and if possible, we will give you more details.

What should I base my decision on when selecting a Tradesperson to do my job? How do I select a Tradesperson?
Answer:
Is this Tradesperson the right fit for you? What is important to you? It is not always price. The level of experience needed to do a great job? Professional? Do you have confidence in this Tradesperson? Does the Tradesperson understand your job requirements, and are they able to do it on time? Price may be important to you? Are you being offered alternatives? The list goes on.

How do I rate a Tradesperson?
Answer:
When your job has been completed, you can contact us to leave a reference for your Tradesperson by answering the following questions:
. Did the Tradesperson complete the Job to your satisfaction?
. Did the Tradesperson conduct him/herself in a professional manner?
. Would you recommend this tradesperson?
. Was the job completed on time?
. Was the job completed for the quoted price?

Answer:
By rating the Tradesperson you can have your say about the level of service you received. This is not only an opportunity to thank your Tradesperson for a job well done, it is also an opportunity to let others know if the Tradesperson is recommended, or not.

Question:
How do I subscribe?
Answer:
Contact us by filling out the form on the Looking for Work page or simply phone (02) 9818 2816. Fill in the required information. Submit the application to Subscribe (no payment is required at this stage as we will need to verify your references and certifications, if applicable). We will contact you when the reference and certification process has been completed to accept your subscription payment. You will then get an email confirming your subscription with us.

How do I get a receipt?
Answer:
Whenever we receive a payment from you, we automatically send a receipt to your mailing address.
Question:
Can I be in more than one category?
Answer:
Yes, you can be in more than one category. We realise that a Tradesperson may be able to provide more than one type of service. For this reason we allow the Tradesperson to be in multiple categories. The more categories you are in, the more opportunities to quote you will be offered, as the Tradesperson in multiple categories will be placed on a separate list for each category.

How do I get work?
Answer:
The way to get work is to subscribe to our service. When you subscribe (and after the certification process has been completed), you will be placed on a list, awaiting an opportunity to quote. When you are next in line on this list, we will contact you with details of a job for you to quote. If you win the quote (winning the quote is when the Consumer asks you to do the job), you can start the job on the date you and the Consumer agreed to.

What if I get too busy to do any quotes?
Answer:
There is a process available to you, in which you can elect a date before the next opportunity to quote is offered to you. You will need to phone us on (02) 9818 2816 to initiate this process
Question:
How much does it cost to get a job?
Answer:
You first need to subscribe to our service, which costs $220 per year (including GST). There are up to three Tradespeople quoting each job, but only one can win the quote (winning the quote is when the Consumer asks you to do the job). The Tradesperson that wins the quote will be charged a referral fee. This referral fee is based on a percentage of the job cost. To calculate this fee, please use the chart on the Looking for Work page. The two Tradespeople who do not win the job, do not pay a referral fee.

What services can I use if I don't subscribe?
Answer:
If you are a Tradesperson you will need to subscribe to our service, if you wish to use any of our services. The only service you can use if you are not a subscriber, is the Submit a Job (find a Tradesperson). If you submit a job but you do not subscribe to our service, you can not earn any job credits for this submission.
Question:
Do I pay more if I want a Labourer for a week?
Answer:
When you request a Labourer from us, we provide the contact details and the rating for the Labourer, for a fee of $25 (including GST). It does not matter how long you need this Labourer as we charge you for the referral only.
Question:
Can I get cash for my job credits?
Answer:
No, you cannot get cash for any job credits. The job credits you earn are to be used in our system as a kind of trade discount for your efforts.
Question:
How do I get a Consumer to rate me?
Answer:
You do not need to do anything. We contact the Consumer once the job has been completed. We ask the following questions:
. Did the Tradesperson complete the Job to your satisfaction?
. Did the Tradesperson conduct him/herself in a professional manner?
. Would you recommend this tradesperson?
. Was the job completed on time?
. Was the job completed for the quoted price?
This reference is added to your overall rating that we hold for you.

What are the resources for?
Answer:
